ORIGIN Also known as passion fruit, because its flower contains shapes resembling three nails and a crown of thorns, like those described in the Passion of Christ. Passion fruit originated in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. From there, it was taken to Australia, and around 1923, cultivation began in Hawaii. In Colombia, where this pulp comes from, its first crops date back to 1936. It is also produced in Peru, Venezuela, and Ecuador. NUTRITIONAL BENEFITS Passion fruit is a good source of potassium, which helps regulate the amount of water in cells. It also contains phosphorus, important for the formation of bones and teeth. Regarding vitamins, the most prominent in this fruit are A and C. PREPARATION Fruttimanía passion fruit pulp does not need to be thawed.
