Babou Thiere Lalo

Fine-grain semolina combined with lalo (powder extracted from the dried leaves of the baobab tree). Thiere is also known as Senegalese couscous and is used to prepare savory dishes or desserts.

This is a very special savory dish of Senegalese couscous accompanied by beef and vegetable sauce. It is traditionally eaten on Tamkharit (Islamic New Year). Undoubtedly, both its flavor and preparation are a true feast, as it includes a wide variety of ingredients. Among which we can mention: El Plebeyo Yucca, carrot, potato, onion, leek, pumpkin, raisins, peppers, all seasoned with Babou Tomato Concentrate

It can be made into a sweet dish by replacing the tomato concentrate with Babou Peanut Paste and taking the name Thiere Bassi Guertè or Bassè Arachide
