Description
ORIGIN
This fruit known as Passion fruit, because its flower contains shapes that resemble three nails and a crown of thorns, just like those described in the Passion of Christ. The passion fruit is native to the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. From there it was taken to Australia and around 1923 it began to be cultivated in Hawaii. In Colombia, where this pulp comes from, its first crops date back to 1936. It is also produced in Peru, Venezuela and Ecuador.
NUTRITIONAL BENEFITS
Passion fruit is a good source of potassium, which helps regulate the amount of water in the cells. It also contains phosphorus, which is important for bone and tooth formation. Regarding vitamins, the most important ones in this fruit are A and C.
PREPARATION
El Dorado passion fruit pulp does not need to be defrosted. Just put it in the container in which the juice will be made and mix it with water or milk.
DISHES
It is used to make juices, juice or smoothies and cocktails. It can also be used as an ingredient to make jams, sweets and sauces.
